The Nekoosa A-Frame is everything you could want in a cozy, modern retreat. Designed with a minimalist, yet incredibly warm aesthetic, the cabin features sleek lines and large windows that allow you to fully immerse in the beauty of the surrounding woods. Inside, the cabin feels spacious yet intimate, with every detail carefully chosen to enhance both comfort and style.
The woodburning fireplace quickly became our favorite spot to relax after a day full of outdoor adventures. There’s something so magical about curling up with a good book or a cup of hot cocoa, watching the flames flicker while the crisp winter air blows outside. We couldn’t have asked for a cozier space to unwind.
One of the highlights of the A-frame was the full kitchen. We loved cooking meals together and enjoying them at the dining table with the view of the forest through the expansive windows. It felt so peaceful to wake up in the morning, make breakfast, and watch the deer graze near the cabin.

We took full advantage of the snowy landscape, and it was thrilling to explore the area by snowshoe and ATV. The winter activities really make it feel like a true escape into the wilderness.

After a full day of outdoor fun, there was no better way to end the night than by gazing up at the stars. The clear skies and lack of city light pollution made for some of the most incredible stargazing we’ve ever experienced. We bundled up and laid out on the deck, watching the constellations come to life in the crisp night air. It’s rare to find a place where the night sky feels so close, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Cozy Outdoor Moments
Of course, no cabin stay is complete without some time around an outdoor fire. The Nekoosa A-Frame comes equipped with a fantastic outdoor firepit, where we spent many nights gathered around the flames, roasting s'mores and sharing stories under the stars. The crackling fire and the chill in the air made for the perfect setting to make memories.
